GOD IS ONE
At Cornerstone, we believe the Bible teaches that there is one God—one eternal, all-powerful, and loving God who has revealed Himself to humanity.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.” — Mark 12:29
God Is a Spirit
John 4:24 — “God is a Spirit.”
God is an invisible Spirit, eternal and without beginning or end. He is the Creator of all things and the source of all life.
God Was Manifest in Flesh
1 Timothy 3:16 — “God was manifest in the flesh.”
Although God is an invisible Spirit, He chose to reveal Himself to humanity in a way we could see and know. God came to us in human flesh as Jesus Christ.
Jesus was not simply a man who represented God. Jesus was God manifested in flesh.
Jesus Reveals the Father
Jesus said:
“He that hath seen me hath seen the Father.” — John 14:9
Jesus Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. Through Jesus, God revealed His character, His love, and His desire to save humanity.
The Fullness of God Is in Jesus
Colossians 2:9 — “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
The Bible teaches that the fullness of God dwells in Jesus Christ. Jesus is not merely a part of God—He is God revealed to us in human flesh.
That is why we believe in the name Jesus. He is our Savior, our Lord, and the One in whom the fullness of God has been revealed.

Jesus Christ is the revelation of the one true God.
GOD SAVES
We believe that salvation comes from God and that Jesus Christ has provided a way for every person to be saved. The Bible teaches that we must experience the new birth in order to enter the Kingdom of God.
You Must Be Born Again
Jesus said:
“Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” — John 3:5
Being born again is not simply turning over a new leaf or becoming a better person. It is a spiritual transformationthat brings us into a new life in Jesus Christ.
The New Birth
On the Day of Pentecost, the people asked the apostles what they needed to do to be saved. Peter answered:
“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” — Acts 2:38
We believe the biblical plan of salvation includes:

Repentance — Turning away from sin and turning toward God.

Water Baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ — For the forgiveness/remission of sins.

The Gift of the Holy Spirit — Receiving the Spirit of God and beginning a new life in Christ.

The Gift of the Holy Ghost
Throughout the book of Acts, we see a consistent biblical pattern of people receiving the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:4 — Acts 10:46 — Acts 19:6
These passages demonstrate that the Holy Spirit was accompanied by speaking with other tongues. We believe that speaking in tongues is the biblical, supernatural sign that accompanies the initial receiving of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Ghost is more than an experience—it is God’s Spirit living and working in us, giving us power to live for Him and to be His witnesses.
SALVATION IS GOD'S PLAN FOR EVERYONE
God desires every person to be saved and to experience the transforming power of the Gospel.
Repent. Be baptized in Jesus' name. Receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
This is the Gospel. This is the new birth. This is God’s plan for salvation.
GOD RESTORES
We believe that Jesus Christ is our healer and restorer. Throughout the Bible, we see the power of God bringing healing, freedom, hope, and restoration to people in need.
Jesus Heals
Matthew 4:23
“Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.”
Jesus came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, but His ministry didn’t stop with preaching. He demonstrated the power of God by healing the sick and restoring lives.
We believe that God still heals today. There is no sickness, disease, brokenness, or impossible situation that is beyond His power.
The Church Has a Ministry of Healing
Jesus not only healed people Himself—He also gave His disciples the authority to minister to those who were hurting.
Mark 6:12–13
“So they went out and preached that people should repent. They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.”
Notice the pattern: they preached the Gospel, people responded in repentance, and the power of God brought freedom and healing.
We believe the Church should continue to minister to the whole person—spiritually, emotionally, and physically.When people are hurting, sick, broken, or bound, we want to point them to Jesus, because He is still able to restore.
GOD STILL HEALS. GOD STILL RESTORES.
We believe God can restore what has been broken, bring freedom where there has been bondage, give hope where there has been despair, and bring healing to those who are sick.
Jesus Christ is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. — Hebrews 13:8
Whatever you may be facing, bring it to Jesus.
He is our Savior.
He is our Deliverer.
He is our Healer.
He is our Restorer.
